Kidman Trail
The Kidman Trail is South Australia’s first long distance multi use trail for horse riding, mountain biking and walking. The trail is aptly named after Sir Sidney Kidman, a prominent local pastoralist and horse breeder and long-distance overland traveler.
The Kidman Trail route offers a unique way to see and experience a breadth of South Australian tourism regions from the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills, Murray Lands, Barossa and Clare Valley. The trail is over 255 kms with ten specialised trail heads.
Its shared use design, camping and recreational facilities provide trail users with opportunities for physical activity and cultural heritage celebrations. With many small townships along the way, local businesses and service providers are already seeing the benefit of increased visitors to the different regions.
