Janelle Amos

Artist Janelle Amos is fascinated by the intrinsic imperfection and unapologetic expression of everyday life and the parallels to her own vivid inner life.  Her abstract paintings and photographic print series of ephemeral nature mandalas “Self Pollinate” reference her everyday felt human experience, communicating the invisible language of this common place, motivating human connection and meaning.

Janelle’s studio in the vines in the hills of Seppeltsfield embraces the unpredictable nature of rural living, inviting a sense of untamed freedom, play and discovery into her practice. Janelle allows the unknown to breathe and become visible through acrylics, graphite and pastels, stirring a lucid emotional resonance held in shape, line and colour.

Janelle considers commissions on a case-by-case basis, choosing only a select number each year.

Genre/Medium/Style

I have two arms to my art practice. Currently focused on abstract painting with acrylics, inspired by my everyday life. I also have a collection of limited edition Nature Mandala prints that were inspired by my immediate natural environment.
