Elected Members are required in the first 12 months of office to complete mandatory training requirements in accordance with Section 80A of the Local Government Act 1999 and Regulation 8AA of the Local Government (General) Regulations 2013.
Under the Local Government Act 1999 section 80A (2h) the Chief Executive Officer must maintain a register relating to training and development in accordance with the regulations.
