Seppeltsfield is a locality on the western side of the Barossa Valley. It is well known for:
- Seppeltsfield Wines (including Fino Restaurant, Vasse Virgin and Jam Factory)
- Hentley Farm Wines
The area is named after J.E. Seppelt, vigneron. When the change of "enemy" place names was being considered in 1916 the local residents suggested "Vine Vale", while the Nomenclature Committee opted for 'Pinjetta', Aboriginal for "sugar and other sweet things." However, the Government decided on "Dorrien", from "General Smith-Dorrien", an English soldier of World War I.
