Sponsorships & Grants

Applications for Council’s 2020-2021 Community Grants Program are currently ‘on hold’ due to COVID-19 restrictions around larger gatherings

Light Regional Council’s Sponsorship, Grants and Incentive Scheme

Event Sponsorship Program

Grants are available to support community organisations to deliver events in the Light Council region. Funding of up to $1000 is available for ‘Community’ events while grants of up to $5000 are available for ‘Regional’ events.

Community Development Grant Program

Grants of up to $1000 are available for non-profit groups and organisations to conduct projects and activities which contribute to the development of the community within the Light Regional Council area.

Heritage Incentive Scheme

Grants of up to $1000 are available for owners of Local Heritage Places and Contributory Items to assist in minimising the costs associated with conserving these important properties.

Youth Incentive Scheme

Grants are available of up to $150 for state and interstate activities and up to $300 for overseas activities for youth displaying considerable talent in cultural, sport and recreation, science, technology, arts and community service activities to enable them to further enhance their skills and talents.  Young people aged between 12 and 18 residing in Light Regional Council are eligible to apply. Budget permitting, the Youth Incentive Scheme is open for applications throughout the year.

Applications for Council’s Community Grants Program Will Close at 5 pm on Friday 20 March 2020

As the available funding is limited, not all applications may be supported. All Grants, Sponsorship and Heritage Incentive Scheme applications and supporting information received by Council must conform with the application requirements and be received by the end of the designated Round. Unsigned applications will be ineligible. Successful applications will be determined by Council at its April 2020 meeting.
