Visitor Information Centre & Tourism

The Kapunda Visitor Information Centre is located in the centre of Australia's oldest mining town. Hosted in a heritage building, along with the local Library, the Visitor Information Centre is part of a newly renovated visitor hub in the award winning Thomson building.

Friendly staff can assist visitors with local and regional queries. The centre is renowned for its extensive range of tourism brochures and also offers visitors the chance to buy Australian books and souvenirs. A family history resource centre and free Internet are also available to visitors.

Visit the 'Taste of the Region' interpretive display in the basement, Kapunda Museum and follow the Heritage Trail, past the old copper mine and Sir Sidney Kidman's former home.
