The Regional Youth Bus project is a mobile youth facility managed by Barossa Lower North Futures.
The core aims of the Regional Youth Bus project are to:
- positively contribute to the lives of rural youth through socially inclusive activities, provision of information and education, support the development of life skills, mentoring, referrals and support services
- build community capacity
Light Regional Council contributes to the Regional Youth Bus project, along with the Barossa Council, District Council of Mallala, Wakefield Regional Council and Regional Council of Goyder.
The bus utilises the latest technologies to provide an online interaction platform, engaging, supporting and connecting young people in the communities across the five regions. The bus visits towns in the Light Regional Council area on average every five weeks.
